Schoolyard Habitat

The REP Schoolyard Habitat Program is in its third year thanks to the support of the Rouge River National Wet Weather Demonstration Project. The objective of the program is to help schools create vibrant, sustainable habitats and an outdoor classroom. To do this the Friends of the Rouge is offering three a small grants and technical support to any school located within the Rouge River Watershed. This is a competitive program and each school that is interested must submit a complete application to be considered. If you are interested in the program please call the office at: (313) 792-9626 or email repmanager@therouge.org

The new RFP has been released for the 2009-2010 Schoolyard Habitat Program.

Please download the application here as well as our application check list and rating rubric. These items will help you through the process of completing your application. If you have any questions, contact Emily at the phone number above. Applications will be accepted until December 11th, 2009 and can be mailed or dropped off to our office. Reminder: schools must be located within the Rouge River watershed to apply.
