Ammie Woodruff
Ammie Woodruff currently serves as a Community Organizer at Friends of The Rouge. Being born in a small country-town Selma, Alabama and raised in the city as Detroit, Michigan have played a major role in how she began to vision the world, and led to a passion for a clean and safe environment. Ammie has experience in community development and organizing from being a resident advisor at Central State University where she studied Criminal Justice, a volunteer coordinator at Quicken Loans, a district deputy manager for the city of Detroit department of neighborhoods Mayor’s office, and district business liaison for the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and most recently a volunteer coordinator with The Greening of Detroit. She also has a slew of skills coming from being involved with private outreach strategy companies.
Ammie loves spending time with her two cats Hip & Hop, a female Tabby cat, and male black Bombay cat. Her hobbies include camping, kayaking, hiking/jogging, listening to new music, trying new foods, playing tennis and traveling.
