Hands-On Learning Workday at Moraine Elementary School Rain Garden
Come for the tour, stay for the hands-on learning volunteer workday! Enjoy the chance for a guided exploration of a remarkable hillside three tier heavy clay soils rain garden. Each tier features distinctly different wetness conditions, reflected in the plants. Then, get your hands dirty weeding the garden, helping to ensure the garden serves as a stellar demonstration site for community members to enjoy. All volunteers will be required to follow Covid-19 safety procedures, including wearing masks and maintaining 6ft distance from others outside your family group, and the project will be capped at 15 attendees.
