Join in! Get your hands dirty this spring and make an enormous difference for your Rouge River.

Project description: Join the effort to build a brand new rain garden at Pierce Middle School in Redford! Over the course of three volunteer days, we’ll mulch and plant this demonstration rain garden, which will soak up and filter thousands of gallons of stormwater every time it rains. The garden will feature an attractive diversity of native plants that support birds, butterflies, and pollinator species. This year, make a real difference on behalf of your Rouge River!
Workday location: Pierce Middle School – 25605 Orangelawn St, Redford Charter Twp, MI 48239
Rain garden builds will take place at either of the two primary entrances. Registered participants will receive a map within a week of the project.
