We will be installing a small native plants garden at the Jack R. Smiley Nature Preserve overlook, as well as tending the Native Plant and Insect Garden that we installed last year under the grant sponsorship of the Michigan Botanical Foundation. If time and volunteers allow, we will also be tending a smaller garden installed by Washtenaw County Parks at the original opening of the JRSNP, as well as general tending to the reception area of the preserve. If the printing of educational information is ready at the time of the Rescue, we could also be installing signage on the kiosks there.
