Friends of the Rouge hosted its first End of Winter Paddle Trip on Saturday, March 26th after being rescheduled due to rain from the 19th. Motor City Canoe Rental was present to provide boats and paddling safety tips for new paddlers. The trip started at the Ford Field Park in Dearborn and headed upstream. Fortunately, the unpredictable Michigan weather gave us a scenic light snow shower for our paddle trip.

While some paddled on the pond and up the river, others congregated around the fire pit to catch up and enjoy some hot coffee and donuts. We look forward to having you at at our next paddle trip in May! Go to therouge.org/water-trail/water-trail-events to see our full 2022 paddling schedule. The Motor City Canoe Rental Rouge Outpost livery will be open soon for more spring paddling fun!
