Important update regarding our COVID-19 response
Dear Friends,
The safety and health of our program participants, volunteers, staff and community is our utmost priority. We support efforts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19.
We are evaluating all upcoming spring events and will make adjustments for the safety and health of our community. We will do our best to notify participants of program changes by email as soon as we are able. Please also make sure to check our web calendar and specific program pages frequently for updates.
As of now, we have made the following updates:
March 14 Master Rain Gardener Course – moved to virtual classroom
March 14 Frog and Toad Training – canceled (course packet available for self-teaching)
March 19 Rouge River Water Trail Leadership Committee – canceled
March 19 Annual Meeting – postponed until early June; stay tuned for new date
March 21 Green Your Neighborhood Forum – postponed; stay tuned for new date
Other events: To be determined
FOTR will continue to follow recommendations from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services that are designed to help prevent the spread of the virus.
We will look to the Wayne County Health Department for information and guidance, and we will adhere to all temporary policies and measures implemented by the PARC Facility in Plymouth, where FOTR offices are located and many of our programs are held.
Please be aware that PARC has closed the building for large public meetings, however, visitors are still able to enter. FOTR will not be allowing unscheduled visitors into the office. FOTR visitors will need to make specific arrangements with staff for entry.
We appreciate your patience if response times are delayed during this time.
If you have questions or concerns we encourage you to reach out to us.
Despite event cancellations, FOTR will continue our work towards a healthier and more vibrant Rouge River watershed!
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Friends of the Rouge Staff
