Description

Join your Friends at the Redford Water Department for the spruce-up of the established and beautiful rain garden filled with native plants! Rain gardens collect, absorb, & filter stormwater coming off of the pavement to reduce the amount flowing into the Rouge River. They also minimize pollution, erosion, and flooding in the Redford community! Plus, provide a home for songbirds, butterflies and other pollinators.

To maintain this garden, tasks may include be removing weeds, picking up trash, mulching, planting more native plants, and/or doing other tasks as needed.
