Join your friends at Jane Addams Elementary as we celebrate the installation of a “mini-forest” planted by volunteers to buffer the playground and school from the busy freeway. As the trees and shrubs grow, they will provide shade and beauty, as well as decrease noise and air pollution. These hardy natives will also soak up rainwater runoff, reducing the amount of flooding, erosion, and pollution going into the Rouge River.
