Description

Join your Friends at the 2026 Spring Bug Hunt! Volunteers visit sites throughout the headwaters of the watershed and search for aquatic invertebrates in the Rouge River.

No prior experience is necessary, but PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Children eight and older are welcome when accompanied by a PARTICIPATING adult.

**There will be an indoor welcome from 10 am-11 am, where volunteers will have a chance to meet their team, enjoy refreshments (coffee, juice, bagels, and donuts), and watch a short presentation before heading out to two sites throughout the watershed. Ending times for each team will vary, but most teams should be able to finish by 3 pm.
