Join Hulsing Elementary School and Friends of the Rouge for a rain garden planting project on Saturday, September 29th! A private Eagle Scout project will prepare the grounds for planting the week before. On Saturday 9/29, we will plant upwards of 1,000 native plugs and ornamental shrubs.

This project will help protect Tonquish Creek by preventing as much as 7,000 gallons of stormwater from flooding and polluting the creek each time it rains. The garden will also create a beautiful outdoor pollinator garden with walkways for children to explore and discover. Dirty hands, clean creeks—be prepared to get dirty, kneeling down in the mud, for a great cause!

To RSVP, please contact Matthew Bertrand, mbertrand@therouge.org, or 734-927-4900, by Thursday, 9/27/2018.
