Spring Bug Hunt Results Show Decline in Bugs at Sites with High Levels of Road Salt

We want to give a big “Thank You” to all of our amazing volunteers at this year’s Spring Bug Hunt. Volunteers served as citizen scientists by helping us find aquatic bugs and test water samples for road salt. Their findings demonstrate that sites with higher levels of road salt in the water have fewer bugs and an overall lower level of water quality.
