Kieron joined Friends of the Rouge as the Orlin and Gelderloos Intern in 2026. Being born and raised in Southeast Michigan, he’s excited to take action with the Friend of the Rouge and make his home a cleaner, greener place for all.

Kieron is an environmentalist at heart. As an Eagle Scout and graduate of Scouts BSA, stewardship of the environment has always been a principle for him. His past professional experience has been in environmental education and public lands management, and he is currently studying Environmental Science, Geology, and Sociology at Wayne State University. He anticipates pursuing post-graduate studies in environmental law.

Outside of work, Kieron thoroughly enjoys any moment he can spend outside. He enjoys experimenting with sounds and patterns in nature to create ambient music, and is always keen on a hike. He is also part of the Detroit-based punk band котенок.
