Lucas Carlock is a Monitoring Intern at Friends of the Rouge. He was born and raised in Metro Detroit and he is excited to work with the team and serve his local communities. Before Friends of the Rouge, Lucas studied at Wayne State University. During his studies he gained experience across many different disciplines, Across many case studies, research collaborations, and experiments, Lucas has grown a deep passion to use his experience to benefit the Michigan, the Great Lakes, and those that call it home.He recently graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science and a minor in Urban Sustainability. He plans to continue his education and obtain his master’s degree.

In his free time he enjoys learning about Michigan’s history and environment, reading, and spending time Up North.
