May is one of the Friends of the Rouge Trails Assistants for the 2025 season. She grew up in Southeast Michigan, and has kayaked many bodies of water across the state; from the Detroit River to Lake Superior. In April of 2024, she graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Policy and Analysis, specializing in Sustainable Management.

In this position, May is excited to help produce a guided tour of the Lower Rouge River Water Trail. Her previous experience as a Sustainability Intern at the Ford Rouge Factory Tour, she created an engaging tour of the facility’s “Living Lab” for guests of all ages. May is passionate about environmental stewardship and is ready to help increase recreational access to our diverse environment.
