Description

Join Friends of the Rouge to plant trees at Fort Street Bridge Park in Detroit, MI!

Majorly funded by Downriver Delta Community Development Corporation, the historic Fort Street Bridge Park commemorates the Ford Hunger March and is a public space for residents who were previously economically challenged to enjoy nature. Friends of the Rouge will be planting trees and shrubs to enhance the park’s landscape and environmental impact on the Rouge River.

No gardening experience necessary! We provide all the instructions, tools, materials, and gloves. Snacks and water will also be provided. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. Wear clothes appropriate for outdoor work based on the weather conditions.

Please sign up for the event at the link below.
