Join your Friends at General Baker Institute in Detroit, MI, to finish planting a rain garden filled with native plants! Rain gardens collect, absorb, & filter stormwater coming off of the pavement to reduce the amount flowing into the Rouge River. They minimize pollution, erosion, and flooding in the community, and provide a home for songbirds, butterflies and other pollinators!
Tasks may include using proper planting techniques, removing weeds, picking up trash, and/or doing other tasks as needed.
