Description

Rain Gardens to the Rescue is a series of five workshops and hands-on rain garden installations. The workshops are designed to teach you about rain gardens, their purpose and the steps to create a rain garden of your own. The educational workshop series is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Residents and institutions (i.e. libraries, activity centers, places of faith) in Dearborn are encouraged to apply to participate in the program. A limited amount of applicants will receive a residential-sized rain garden, supplies and installation support for their gardens. Other applicants will be waitlisted with the possibility of receiving funding for a garden or garden supplies this year.

Workshop classes are every Saturday in August. You must attend all training workshops to receive a rain garden through this program.

Application open until July 24th, 2026. Apply today!
