Everyone has a wish list. Even your river!

These are the tools that make the magic happen for caring people like you in action!  Every little bit helps.

  1. Van or 4 door-Truck – FOTR is in need of a reliable, safe form of transportation to host and attend events across the watershed. Ideally, this vehicle would have the capacity to tow our 15′ trailer full of plants/equipment.
  2. (8) Dissecting Microscopes – Teachers, students, volunteers, bug hunt “Team Leaders”, and guests rely on these “scopes” to make merry science in the Friends of the Rouge lab! Your kindness opens the doors (and the eyes) to discovery! WALTER QZA/QZB ZOOM STEREO MICROSCOPES, (#QZA, BINOCULAR)
  3. USPS stamps – Ahhh… it is fun to get snail mail thank you notes from Friends!  If you have extra “Forever” stamps, an old stamp collection that you no longer want to store, or simply a stash of stamps that you will never lick – we’ll take them with gratitude!
  4. High-side landscape trailer — to haul the dirt and mulch!
  5. MPD Infiltrometer + 10 test packet — measures how fast water moves through the soil on its way to your River
  6. Laptop Projector – so that the River can come to you!
  7. Orvis Women’s Clearwater Wading Boots – Rubber Sole (Women’s Size 8 and Women’s Size 9) – for the hard, muddy work of saving your River
  8. High powered brush cutter with string attachment, blade for herbaceous material, and blade for woody material – useful to cut dense herbaceous materials or cut down woody materials (such as buckthorn and honeysuckle) when preparing for a rain garden.
  9. Helmet with face mask and ear protection – helps to keep us safe while using the high powered brush cutter
  10. Planting auger and bit – to help make mass plantings of rain gardens more efficient!
  11. Chainsaw – to help clear away any log jams that keep you from enjoying your River!
  12. DJI Mavik Pro Cine Drone – Being able to check your River from above will help to identify log jams and issues much quicker
  13. 45 inch Television and TV  Pelican Case – educating the community is at the heart of everything we do. Adding a TV to our dry dock display will help us to bring the River to you and provide a method to show others!
  14. Travel Portfolio Case for Dry Dock Boards – (24 x 36 Hard Case) – help us protect the materials used to educate others on the importance of your River
  15. Solar Generator – harnessing the power of the sun to get more done in the field restoring your River!
