Ready to adopt?

If you would like to discuss adopting a rain garden, you are warmly welcome to reach out to Lara Edwards – LEdwards@therouge.org or 734-927-4908

Why adopt?

In 2020, Friends of the Rouge installed 23,000 square feet of native gardens around the Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex (PARC) to improve community water quality. These rain gardens absorb up to 225,000 gallons of water during every rainstorm!

Your adoption keeps your rain garden looking great and working its best. Enjoy your garden and the impact it makes to save your Rouge River. Rain gardens:

Reduce flooding

Filter pollutants

Provide habitat

Create beauty

Recharge groundwater

Reduce river flashiness
