FOTR Board Member and long-time volunteer Sue Thompson was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for Friends of the Rouge by the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce at the Showcase and Taste of Plymouth on Monday May 6, 2024. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is an ambassador and advocate for FOTR’s mission. The Executive Director is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission through relevant initiatives, strategic planning and fundraising, on-going integration of DEI and environmental justice in its work, as well as meeting financial objectives and oversight of the operations of the organization.
