Clean Rivers and Lakes for All
Rainwater runoff can carry harmful pollutants that make their way into our lakes, rivers and streams, making them unhealthy for humans and aquatic life. With your help, we’ll be taking a huge step towards safe and clean bodies of water for all.
The Rain Catchers Collective invites you to become a part of the clean water solution by adopting proven practices that capture, clean, and reuse rainwater runoff:
- Plant natives to help absorb and filter water. The Rain Catchers Collective can help you find native plants. Native plants are easier to maintain, and they add color and beauty to your yard while supporting butterflies, bees, birds, and other wildlife.
- If you have a yard, consider a rain garden! We teach classes and conduct site assessments.
- Buy a rain barrel to collect and use rain to water your plants—those you do not eat— while reducing excess water on your property.

About the Rain Catchers Collective
The Rain Catchers Collective is an alliance of three Southeast Michigan watershed organizations emphasizing the advantages of clean water for business, recreation, and the environment. Partners envision resilient and prosperous towns in southeast Michigan that are equipped with the tools to better implement green stormwater infrastructure.
