This event is in conjunction with the larger Wayne County Day of Service put on by Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans. Help Friends of the Rouge clean up the gardens around the Newburgh Pointe Comfort Station by picking up litter and weeding. Please bring gardening gloves if you have some, if not they will be provided. Dress for the weather with long pants and closed toed shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated and a snack.
Directions to Site: The comfort station is on Hines Drive, west of Newburgh Rd and East of Haggerty Rd. There is a parking lot at this location, but additional parking is available East of the location on Hines Drive at the Newburgh Lake Peninsula.
