ABOUT SLIDING SCALE PRICES

Order your native plant flats for PICKUP by Monday, April 29, 2024  for pickup on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Canton DPW.

Native Plants Kits: 38 Michigan Native Plants, 3" Plugs
With Garden Design Included

  • Each kit contains 38 Michigan native plants for a variety of habitats
  • Each kit is suitable for covering about 65 square feet (when planted on 18” centers).
  • Blooms from spring to fall
  • Garden Design is a suggested planting plan based on the species in the kit

KIT CONTENTS

The grower reserves the right to make substitutions from the lists provided below as needed based on available supply. The plant lists below should be considered conceptual.

WILDFLOWER KIT FOR BUTTERFLIES, MONARCHS, BEES, AND OTHER POLLINATORS  ʚїɞ

  • Want to support our wonderful pollinators like bees, butterflies and birds? This kit is for you! Create a pollinator oaisis with up to 16 different species with varying height flowers adding both beauty and wildlife benefits. This kit includes nectar and host plants for native butterflies!
  • Flowers may include: showy goldenrod, grey headed coneflower, early sunflower, swamp milkweed, smooth blue aster, purple coneflower, bergamot, blue/hoary vervain, sky blue aster, mountain mint, butterfly weed, whorled milkweed, black eyed-susan, sand tickseed and wild petunia

SHADE KIT  ↟

  • Have a shady area near your home or under some trees? This kit is for you! These plants are adapted to full or part shade, adding beauty all year 'round for you to enjoy. 
  • Plants may include:  Bottle brush grass, big leaf aster, thimbleweed, joe pye, woodland sunflower, heart-leaf aster, bishops cap, spikenard, culver’s root, ironweed, white snakeroot, hairy beardtongue, poke milkweed and more.

RAIN GARDEN KIT  🌧

  • Want to manage rainwater with a shallow depression garden? This kit is for you! These plants can handle being under water for 24-48 hours, have deep roots to draw water down into the ground and can tolerate drought periods between storms.
  • Plants may include:  Switch grass, brown fox sedge, blue lobelia, cardinal, joe pye, boneset, hibiscus, tall coreopsis, ironweed, swamp milkweed, Riddell’s goldenrod, new England aster, sneezeweed, Iris, monkey flower, etc
